C O R P O R A T E
I recently had the unique opportunity to work on an exciting photography project for Leeds Bradford Airport. Tasked with creating images for the domestic arrivals area, the project offered exclusive access to the airport during a tightly scheduled, early morning window.
The shoot took place at 3 a.m., a time chosen to minimise disruption. The airport was completely shut down for 2 hours, providing an uninterrupted environment to capture the dynamic essence of aviation. Escorted across the site, I photographed key aspects of the airport, including planes on the runway, aircraft being prepped for upcoming flights, and the expansive runway itself. Working in this quiet yet intense setting allowed me to highlight details that are often overlooked in the daily bustle of travel.
Capturing Leeds Bradford Airport
Prominently Featured
The images I created are now prominently featured throughout Leeds Bradford Airport, transforming the passenger experience in the domestic arrivals area. The most significant piece is a stunning 6-metre by 2-metre image, displayed on a central wall where visitors pass after disembarking their flights. Seeing this work displayed at such scale, and enhancing the experience of those arriving, has been incredibly rewarding.
This project reflects the power of professional photography in showcasing large-scale spaces and processes, telling a visual story that connects travellers to the energy and precision of air travel. If you're flying through Leeds Bradford Airport, be sure to take a moment to appreciate the imagery designed to bring the site’s unique atmosphere to life.
